The Bergen Historian was created to offer thoughtful and engaging encounters with Bergen’s history, where content, storytelling, and lived experience matter more than fixed formats and standard tours.

 

I am Katrine, a university-educated historian with many years of experience working in museums and with public history. In my work, I shape each experience in dialogue with both the places we visit and the people who join, so that every walk, talk, or tailored visit gets its own rhythm and character. This way The Bergen Historian offers a more personal approach into Bergen’s past, where academic grounding meets warmth, attentiveness, and a genuine interest in both the stories and those who are there to hear them.
